Bangkok is easy to reach! Due to its popularity as a travel hub, Bangkok is the cheapest city to fly into in Southeast Asia. Thai tourism is a vital part of the economy, so obtaining a visa is easy.
Making friends is easy! Bangkok's nightlife scene is one of the best in the world, as are its clubs, organizations, sports, and communities. It is easy to meet people from all over the world, as well as Thais who share your interests and hobbies.
It's time to travel! Traveling around Thailand is easy when you start in Bangkok. Flights to Chiang Mai or Phuket can be found for as little as $40, and both locations are only 90 minutes away. For as little as $10, you can take trains and buses anywhere in the country!
Bangkok is a foodie's paradise. Thai food in Bangkok is incredible, but because Bangkok is such a global travel hub, ex-pats from all over the world live here. What Is The Salary For Teaching English In Thailand?
Salary ranges from $900 to $2,800 based on qualifications and experience. Around $1,100 is the average entry-level salary. While these aren't the highest salaries in the ESL world (you'll have to head to the Middle East for those), most people come to Thailand not to be rich, but rather to live a simple, balanced life.
Thailand is often touted as having the best balance between cost of living and quality of life in the world.
A decent apartment can cost between $200 and $350 a month (or a luxury condo with an infinity pool and sauna for around $400). The cost of a beer out can be as low as $1, and the price of food is about the same as what you would pay at home.
